SWEET SINGERS of ISRAEL

"The sweet singers of Israel," that's what our old friend, Glenn Coon used to call us. Those words have stuck with us like sweet incense, a blessing, from one of God's finest preachers. Coon's ABC Prayer CD's are still floating around (Neuharths, PO Box 460777, Escondido CA 92046).

Singing with my Don is like eating chocolate for me ... Don has a wonderful baritone voice and harmonizing together is just plain fun ... ahem, yes, delicious! Here we are singing at the Arden Hills Seventh-day Adventist Church between a break in the His Voice Men's Chorus vesper concert. That guitar I'm strumming is a classical Hagstrom guitar that I acquired from guitarist Randy Dagar 25 years ago. It's still holding together. The guitar has been to Korea, Germany, and all over the states, too ... the case it rides in is ancient and heavy ... it has even ridden on an elephant's back! ... and yes, I feel much better today ... the house is back to normal, we have my brother Den and his wife Claire as guests, sleeping soundly in the next room. Also, today is my parent's 71st wedding anniversary and we'll be celebrating together later today. It's hard to believe that Don and I will have been married 38 years this Valentine's Day. I have so much to be thankful for!
