I was just starting on an afternoon walk with my little dog Missy, thankful I finally could get outside after such a stormy day. I caught my breath as I looked up at the sky ... up there were two huge thunderclouds piled up together. One was coal black and the one behind it was white as pearl. As I kept walking down the sidewalk the two clouds began blending together with streaks of black and white weaving a new design in the sky. Then behind the twin clouds the sky began glowing with the intensity of a precious jewel. It was as if a blue silk pillow was cradling a cameo of God’s creation. My heart skipped a beat as I realized I was glimpsing at a portion of God’s majesty, a small reminder of His faithfulness to my family and me.
The picture above was taken in February of 2006 after a snowfall in the Pass -- the mountain is Mount San Jacinto..
