Mom and I are out on our balcony at the Hale Koa Hotel in Waikiki. As you can see we had a great view of the surf and turf (double click to get a bigger pic). Other pictures in here show Mom and I walking on the beach at Camp Bellows, another shows me dipping my toes in the Waikiki surf and a bedside view of the sunrise. Each morning the sun would shine directly into our window. The first few days we didn't notice the sunrise as the sky was overcast, but by the time the jet lag wore off I enjoyed laying in bed watching the sun light up the city of Honolulu in the distance. That reminds me of a time, about 20 years ago, when I looked out my hotel window and every building below me glowed like gold in the morning light The place was Jerusalem, the year 1986. A lot of things have happened since that time and the blessings I experience today were not even in my dreams ... there is a lot more than I even asked God for -- thanks, God!
We can only see a little of the ocean, a few miles distant from the rocky shore
But out there beyond our eyes horizon, there's more, there's more.
We can only see a little of God's love, a few rich blessings from His mighty store
But out there beond our eyes horizon, there's more, there's more!
(I found the poem above on a card back in the 60's and memorized it ... fits, huh!)
