We are so blessed to be a part of the Army Chaplaincy family! Here Don is ordaining a deacon at the Valley Seventh-day Adventist Church in Sun City, CA - http://www.valleysda.info/ . The other two pictures are of Don with Staff Sergeant "Zeke" Bejarano and his cousin and Pastor Vidam Dementyev. The sermon that day was on the Centurion and Pastor Vadim, being of Russian decent, shared with Don that it was also Russian Armed Forces Day. Pastor Vadim is currently studying theology at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena.

That day, Pastor Vadim asked Don to ordain the young soldier as he wanted the congregation to see a life sized man of great faith, a good soldier. Don was delighted for this opportunity to bless the him and let him know that he is loved both as an American soldier and a soldier of the Cross. (Double click on pictures to enlarge them)
