STEPPING BACK IN TIME

I WAS JUST A SCRAWNY LITTLE GIRL when I first laid eyes on my father's alma mater, Army Navy Academy in Carlsbad, California. Remarkably, the military high school is still going strong many years after my father first set foot on its campus 70+ years ago. Today, I returned walking arm and arm with my parents now both 90 years of age ... still believing in dreams, still grateful for a father's long-ago gift. Below are a few pictures that reflect our journey.

THE LAST PICTURE ABOVE is the folks with Army and Navy Academy President/ Commandant General Steven Bliss. The classes of 1938 (friend Charles 'Doon' Halberg's year) through 2003 were honored today but that didn't stop Dad (Class of 1937) and Mom from returning for one more alumni homecoming ... me, too!
