Chip & Dale: Snug-as-a-Bug

Last Spring, Hilliary the Hummer hatched two sweet little chicks that we named Chip & Dale.  At first, we only noticed one round white egg, so when Dale joined Chip and we saw two little beaks, we were beside ourselves!  Here are the two of them - snug as a bug in a rug!

But let's walk back in time to May 2012, when Hilliary first chose the place for her nest.  For several weeks she gathered twigs and string and spider webs to weave a beautiful, yet tiny, nest beneath our front yard lantern.  About that time, I set my camera up behind the livingroom window and the shutter clicks began.
